Why has Wharf Road been closed / Why is Wharf Road being closed?
With the lease ending on Wharf Road and the fact we have a large space at Moulsham Street, we decided it was the right time to bring our two excellent teams together in one place and create a super team.
The space we have at Moulsham Street is much bigger and when we opened the salon, the plan was always to merge the two salons into one. As we celebrate our 16th anniversary this year and enter our ‘adult years’, now is the right time to leave our childhood home and fly the nest to Moulsham Street. It’s the next step in an exciting journey for us.
I had an appointment booked at Wharf Road, what happens now?
All appointments booked from Tuesday 17 March onwards at Wharf Road will now take place at our Moulsham Street salon. Your appointment will still take place on the same date and at the same time, just at Moulsham Street.
Where is the salon?
145 Moulsham St, Chelmsford CM2 0JT
Similarly to the Wharf Road salon, MACK Moulsham Street is within walking distance from the main high street.
Will I have the same stylist?
The Wharf Road team will all be relocating to Moulsham Street and will offer the same high quality service and products, for the same price, as they did at Wharf Road.
Will you offer all the same services and prices?
Yes all of our services and prices at Moulsham Street are exactly the same. In addition we will be launching some exciting new services in the near future so keep your eyes peeled!
Has anyone lost their job?
No, every member of the team has been offered the same position at Moulsham Street.
Where can I park at Moulsham Street?
Parking is available at a number of car parks including George Street which is close by to the salon.
In addition to this, there is time-limited parking availability on Moulsham Street as well as Anchor Street for those having a shorter service.
From 6pm onwards, parking restrictions on Moulsham Street do not apply.
If you would prefer to park in your usual carpark near Wharf Road, the Moulsham Street salon is within walking distance of Wharf Road.

What are the opening hours at Moulsham Street?
Our opening hours have remained the same. In the near future, we are planning on closing 30 minutes earlier on a Saturday at Moulsham Street. As soon as the date for this change has been confirmed, we will let our customers know.
Our opening hours for appointments can be found below. Please note that our reception is open 30 minutes before appointments begin every day:
Monday Reception is open 8.30am – 6pm for enquiries. The salon is open from 11.15 am – 6pm for training and graduate appointments only on selective Mondays

Wednesday 9am–9pm
Thursday 9am–9pm
Friday 9am–8pm
Saturday 8am–5.30pm

Will all of the team at Moulsham Street continue working at the salon?
Yes, our Moulsham Street team will remain the same with the addition of the Wharf Road team – creating one big super team!
Will I see a difference in the service I receive?
No, all services and treatments will remain at the outstanding high quality that MACK has become renowned for over the past 16 years.
Can I use my MACK gift card at MACK Moulsham Street?
Yes, all gift cards can be used at MACK Moulsham Street.
Is there enough space at Moulsham Street?
Yes, our Moulsham Street salon is 260m² and has 25 stations as well as an additional private room meaning there is plenty of room for all of our team, and clients.
