2008 COLLECTION
Couture Allure
Boutique salon MACK launched a dazzling new collection of sleek, defined hair styles for summer 2008. Created by the directional team at the Essex salon, the new styles have focused on powerful, yet beautiful and wearable fashion.
The collection focuses on strong outlines with soft edges; a smooth, glossy body finished off with texture. Bold colour is also a key aspect of the collection with warm brunettes, ice blonds, vibrant coppers and mahogany tones.
MACK salon director, Andrew Mack comments: “This is a brand style gallery as well as a collection, representing our commitment to beautiful hair. The collection evokes that changeover period between spring and summer when looks start to warm in line with the weather.”

1. Very cool blonde colour created with platinum textured highlights and a soft fringe cut in to create a gentler shape; blow dried smooth with the addition of wax to create texture and definition. |
 |
2. A short, sassy undercut with a heavy fringe and long side elements; blow-dried out smooth with colour volume mousse, smoothed with irons onto midlengths and ends, then completed with finishing wax to define the texture in the layers. |
 |
3. Hair is cut in a definitive crop with half-moon fringe and coloured with coppers and mahoganies using circle panel technique; a smoothing balm for coloured hair shows off the shape and colour. |
 |
4. Undercut at the base and top, this style highlights a heavy fringe, complemented by mahogany and red colour tones. |
 |
5. Long lengths given a colour treatment of selected copper and mahogany hues; a sleek cut styled with mousse plus straightening irons to create texture and wax to define layers. |
The models in the collection photography are wearing high street fashions from Zara, M&S Limited Collection, Top Shop and John Lewis in appropriately sheer fabrics with fluid, floaty lines.
